What is the torque specification for installation?
The FSM™ top ring screws require 15 in-lbs while the K-Clamp™ mounting system requires 25 in-lbs of torque. Over-torquing can damage the rail system or mount. Always use a quality torque wrench for installation.
Will this work with my specific optic?
The FSM-93™ is designed for any optic that utilizes a 30mm & 34mm tube diameter. Contact our technical team for specific optic questions.
Does this require any special tools for installation?
Installation requires only the T25 & T10 Torx bit (included) and a torque wrench capable of 10-25 in-lbs. All necessary hardware is included. Additional third-party tools can be used to properly level the optic inside the mount.
How does the K-Clamp™ technology work?
Our patent-pending K-Clamp™ utilizes titanium components to distribute clamping force evenly across the Picatinny rail, preventing rail deformation while ensuring return-to-zero capability. The entire Kastle mount recesses down into the picatinny rail giving you a proprietary two point recoil lug system optimized at the front and rear of the mount.
What's the difference between Type III anodizing and standard finishes?
Type III MIL SPEC hardcoat anodizing provides superior corrosion resistance and surface hardness compared to standard Type II finishes, ensuring long-term durability in harsh environments.
Can this mount handle full-auto fire?
Absolutely. The full FSM™ product line has been tested extensively with full-automatic select fire weapons systems and maintains zero under extreme conditions.
What's the expected lifespan of this mount?
With proper installation and normal use, the The full FSM™ product line is designed for indefinite service life. That's why we back it with our lifetime warranty.
