PRECISION ELEVATED

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

How tall will this make my optic?

The EXPS-226™ elevates your optic to a 2.26" optical centerline height from the rail. The exact height will vary depending on your specific optic's design and your rail height above the bore.

What is the difference between a riser and a mount?

A riser like the EXPS-226™ provides an elevated M1913 Picatinny platform that accepts any optic with a standard rail mount. Our dedicated mounts like the MICRO-226™ are designed for specific optic footprints and provide a more streamlined, direct mounting solution.

What is the torque specification for installation?

The K-Clamp™ mounting system requires 25 in-lbs of torque. Over-torquing can damage the rail system or riser. Always use a quality torque wrench for installation.

Will this work with my EOTECH sight?

Yes, the EXPS-226™ is designed to work with all EOTECH sights that mount to M1913 Picatinny rails, including EXPS, XPS, and legacy 512/552/558 series. The riser provides the elevated platform these optics mount to.

Can I use this with a magnifier?

Absolutely. The 2.26" height is ideal for use with flip-to-side magnifiers and provides proper alignment for magnifier combinations. Ensure your magnifier is compatible with the elevated height.

Does this require any special tools for installation?

Installation requires only a T25 Torx bit (included) and a torque wrench capable of 25 in-lbs. All necessary hardware is included.

How does the K-Clamp™ technology work?

Our patent-pending K-Clamp™ utilizes titanium components to distribute clamping force evenly across the Picatinny rail, preventing rail deformation while ensuring return-to-zero capability. The entire Kastle riser recesses down into the picatinny rail giving you a proprietary two point recoil lug system optimized at the front and rear of the mount.

What's the difference between Type III anodizing and standard finishes?

Type III MIL SPEC hardcoat anodizing provides superior corrosion resistance and surface hardness compared to standard Type II finishes, ensuring long-term durability in harsh environments.

Can this riser handle full-auto fire?

Absolutely. The EXPS-226™ has been tested extensively with full-automatic select fire weapons systems and maintains zero under extreme conditions.

What's the expected lifespan of this riser?

With proper installation and normal use, the EXPS-226™ is designed for indefinite service life. That's why we back it with our lifetime warranty.

Which color should I choose?

Color choice is primarily aesthetic and operational preference:

  • Black
  • Flat Dark Earth
  • Desert Sand
  • Clear
  • OD Green
Can I have this riser custom Cerakoted?

Yes, order in "Clear" finish for custom Cerakote applications.

What does the lifetime warranty cover?

Our lifetime warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for the original purchaser. Normal wear, abuse, and modifications are not covered.

What if I need technical support?

Contact our technical team at comms@kastle.group or through our dealer network. Our team provides comprehensive installation and troubleshooting support.

Do you offer military or law enforcement discounts?

Yes, we support our nation's protectors. Contact us directly with valid credentials for pricing information.

When will this be back in stock?

We work to restock products as quickly as possible. Use the "Notify me when available" feature to receive immediate notification when inventory is restored.
