What is the difference between the AEMS-193™ and AEMS-226™?
The primary difference is optical centerline height. The AEMS-193™ provides a 1.93" height for use with iron sights, while the AEMS-226™ offers a 2.26" height. Both share identical construction quality, materials, and mounting technology. The AEMS-226™ is modular and accepts additional accessories like our DB-193™ offset mounts. The AEMS-193™ is NOT modular nor is it compatible with our FORTRESS™ accessory ecosystem.
Which height should I choose - 1.93" or 2.26"?
The 1.93" height provides a lower profile setup with backup iron sight compatibility. Choose 2.26" if you need additional clearance for night vision devices or prefer a higher mounting position.
What is the torque specification for installation?
The K-Clamp™ mounting system requires 25 in-lbs of torque. Over-torquing can damage the rail system or mount. Always use a quality torque wrench for installation.
Will this work with my specific optic?
The AEMS-193™ is designed for any optic with the Holosun® AEMS™ footprint pattern. Refer to our compatibility list above or contact our technical team for specific optic questions.
Can I use this mount with magnifiers?
Yes, the 1.93" height is compatible with most flip-to-side 3x and 5x magnifiers designed for lower profile optic positions. Ensure your magnifier is rated for the 1.93" optical centerline.
Does this require any special tools for installation?
Installation requires only a T25 Torx bit (included) and a torque wrench capable of 25 in-lbs. All necessary hardware is included.
How does the K-Clamp™ technology work?
Our patent-pending K-Clamp™ utilizes titanium components to distribute clamping force evenly across the Picatinny rail, preventing rail deformation while ensuring return-to-zero capability. The entire Kastle mount recesses down into the picatinny rail giving you a proprietary two point recoil lug system optimized at the front and rear of the mount.
What's the difference between Type III anodizing and standard finishes?
Type III MIL SPEC hardcoat anodizing provides superior corrosion resistance and surface hardness compared to standard Type II finishes, ensuring long-term durability in harsh environments.
Can this mount handle full-auto fire?
Absolutely. The ACRO-193™ has been tested extensively with full-automatic select fire weapons systems and maintains zero under extreme conditions.
What's the expected lifespan of this mount?
With proper installation and normal use, the ACRO-193™ is designed for indefinite service life. That's why we back it with our lifetime warranty.
Which color should I choose?
Black- You should know this one.
Flat Dark Earth - Traditional deep & rich FDE color. Pairs great with all shades of FDE.
Desert Sand - On the lighter side of the "Tanodize" spectrum and pairs well with less saturated shades of tan or FDE.
Clear - This anodize produces a champagne grey finish that shifts with the light. Pairs great with all clear ano and Q™ products.
OD Green - No, we didn't forget about this classic. Pairs well with anything olive drab or ranger green. Also a good match with Noveske™ bazooka green.
Pro Tip: Try mix-matching colors for a unique look.
Disclaimer: Anodize processing varies slightly in color by batch. Anodize may look different than what is pictured.
Can I have this mount custom Cerakoted?
Yes, order in "Clear" finish for custom Cerakote applications.
What does the lifetime warranty cover?
Our lifetime warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for the original purchaser. Normal wear, abuse, and modifications are not covered.
