FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

What is the difference between the ACRO-226™ and ACRO-193™?

The primary difference comes down to height. The ACRO-226™ sits higher at 2.26", which makes it easier to keep your head up while shooting. This means quicker target acquisition and better compatibility with night vision or communication gear. The ACRO-193™ sits at 1.93" – a solid middle ground that balances height, size, and performance. The ACRO-226™ also offers a bit more flexibility in configuration. Both models are built with the same high-quality materials and rock-solid mounting system.

Which height should I choose - 1.93" or 2.26"?

The 2.26" height is ideal for shooters who prefer a heads-up shooting position or need additional clearance for night vision devices. Choose 1.93" ACRO-193™ if you prefer a more compact profile.

What is the torque specification for installation?

The K-Clamp™ mounting system requires 25 in-lbs of torque. Over-torquing can damage the rail system or mount. Always use a quality torque wrench for installation.

Will this work with my specific optic?

The ACRO-226™ is designed for any optic with the Aimpoint® ACRO™ footprint pattern. Refer to our compatibility list above or contact our technical team for specific optic questions.

Can I use this mount with magnifiers?

Yes, the 2.26" height is compatible with most flip-to-side and flip-to-center 3x and 5x magnifiers designed for 2.26" height elevated optic positions. The additional height provides optimal clearance for magnifier operation.

Does this require any special tools for installation?

Installation requires only a T25 Torx bit (included) and a torque wrench capable of 25 in-lbs. All necessary hardware is included.

How does the K-Clamp™ technology work?

Our patent-pending K-Clamp™ utilizes titanium components to distribute clamping force evenly across the Picatinny rail, preventing rail deformation while ensuring return-to-zero capability. The entire Kastle mount recesses down into the picatinny rail giving you a proprietary two point recoil lug system optimized at the front and rear of the mount.

What's the difference between Type III anodizing and standard finishes?

Type III MIL SPEC hardcoat anodizing provides superior corrosion resistance and surface hardness compared to standard Type II finishes, ensuring long-term durability in harsh environments.

Can this mount handle full-auto fire?

Absolutely. The ACRO-226™ has been tested extensively with full-automatic select fire weapons systems and maintains zero under extreme conditions.

What's the expected lifespan of this mount?

With proper installation and normal use, the ACRO-226™ is designed for indefinite service life. That's why we back it with our lifetime warranty.

Which color should I choose?

Color choice is primarily aesthetic and operational preference:

  • Black
  • FDE
  • Desert Sand
  • Clear
  • OD Green
Can I have this mount custom Cerakoted?

Yes, order in "Clear" finish for custom Cerakote applications.

What does the lifetime warranty cover?

Our lifetime warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for the original purchaser. Normal wear, abuse, and modifications are not covered.

What if I need technical support?

Contact our technical team at comms@kastle.group or through our dealer network. Our team provides comprehensive installation and troubleshooting support.

Do you offer military or law enforcement discounts?

Yes, we support our nation's protectors. Contact us directly with valid credentials for pricing information.
